This ministry of Saint Sophia is geared for children between the ages of 40 day's up to 5 years of age. The goal of the Hope Ministry is to bring to the children of the Orthodox Faith a basic understanding of the Holy Church. Children and their parents/caregiversarrive at church, spendtime socializing until they meet with Fr. Andrew in church and discuss the topic of the day. After receiving the Blessing'sof Father Andrew, the children gather to complete an age-appropriate topic-related craft. They have time for songs, both Orthodox and other Christian songs, anda story time related again to the topic. The meeting closes with snack and playtime.

A Thank You Note

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the HOPE Mom's and Caregiver's that brought their child/ren to our Hope Group at St. Sophia this year!

I would especially like to thank Ms. Eilena, Hope Advisor, for her dedication to our children throughout this year!  Thank you so much Eilena!

Their will be a few outings over the summer.  Please check the Sunday Bulletin, this website or your email for details as they become available.

Eleni started a Hope Group Facebook page.  Be sure to become a member of the group so that you can enjoy photos from outings and conversation with other Hope participants.  Eleni did make this group private for the safety of our children. Thanks again, Eleni!

I pray you have a great summer!  I hope to see you at Vacation Church School, St. Sophia's Greek Festival, our upcoming summer outings, and in September for the start of the 2010/2011 Youth Ministries Year.
